LIN-sanity officially reached certifiable status on Friday night, as Jeremy Lin went off for 38 points in an absolutely astonishing performance against Kobe Bryant and the Lakers at Madison Square Garden. Vintage Chris Webber, 2000 Sacramento Kings against 76ers

December 4, 2011 Leave a comment

Another fun-to-watch performance from the 2000 Sacramento Kings, as Chris Webber goes off for 32 points and Jason Williams acts like his ridiculous self in a close loss to the Sixers. Nothing like a classic “NBA on NBC” broadcast with Bob Costas and Doug Collins to get you pumped for the return of the NBA.

Chris Webber, Jason Williams star against Spurs

The Spurs announcers are annoying, but this video showcases just how thrilling it was to watch those early-2000s Sacramento Kings teams. Hall of Famer Chris Webber (yeah, I said it) goes off for 34 points and 19 rebounds in this spectacular performance against Tim Duncan and the Spurs.

Allen Iverson scores 47 against Boston Celtics

This website might be a little bit fanatic about A.I., but this video is just another example of just how great ‘The Answer’ could be during his peak. The early 2000s Sixers teams were  Allen Iverson, and this exhibition shows why that was just fine.

Michael Jordan’s first 40-point game; Bulls defeat Spurs 1984

May 31, 2011 Leave a comment

The Bulls announcers are thrilled with what they are seeing from this young rook Jordan, who has taken over as the team’s leader in just his ninth game in the NBA. MJ torches the Spurs for 45, as the Bulls color man inexplicably, and unsuccessfully tries to nickname him “Captain Marvel”. Thank God that didn’t stick.

NBA Classics: Michael Jordan’s last game at MSG as a Bull

May 23, 2011 Leave a comment

MJ honors the Garden fans by rocking the original Air Jordans and putting on a one-of-a-kind performance in his final game at MSG as a Bull. This is the kind of game that reminds non-delusional basketball fans why there will never, ever, ever be another Michael Jordan.
