STRENGTHS: Kenneth Faried is one of the few players in this draft who has a special talent that will allow him to be successful in the NBA. The boy can rebound. Faried has been in the top three in the nation in rebounding each of the past three seasons, and led the NCAA with 14.5 boards per game in 2011. He is physical, maniacal in pursuit of the ball, and routinely outmuscles taller players under the glass. He is an excellent defender, and led the OVC in steals his junior year. Faried could have a long NBA career as a Dennis Rodman-type player coming off the bench.

WEAKNESSES: He did average 17.6 points per game last season, but Faried will not be a big-time scorer in the NBA. He’s undersized for a power forward at 6-7, but there have been plenty of undersized players from small colleges who have excelled in the league. (See: Dennis Rodman). Not that Faried will be Rodman, but he fits the mold of a Carl Landry, Reggie Evans-type player.
