STRENGTHS: Let’s see. Mack was the floor general and one of the key players on a Butler team that advanced to the National Championship game in back-to-back seasons. He knocked down big shot after big shot, and never shied away from the big time stage. Mack is a collegiate legend for his contribution to Butler, and always showed up when it counted the most. He played against big-time competition with everything on the line, and delivered for a team that was less talented than many of the goliaths it took down on its path to back-to-back appearances on collegiate basketball’s biggest stage.

WEAKNESSES: Although Mack was a money player, he wasn’t consistently great all season long. His shooting percentage in the regular season the past two years didn’t come close to his postseason numbers, and his points and assists per game were lower over the long-haul than in the NCAA Tournament. Mack is also small and not the most athletic player in this draft. Still, there are few rookies who can boast his type of experience in big games when they come into the league. Mack is tough,  crafty, and smart on the offensive side of the ball.  He’s also an accomplished defender. This kid just feels like a solid pro who will be in the NBA for years to come.
